We were bumped up into a suite which gave us a little more room to spread out and it was a beautiful and relatively quiet room with the exception of some brief noise of comings and goings from across the hall.
The only thing that I would have liked would have been to be able to open the windows all the way - they were impeded by venetian blinds.
-
Great location, nice design of rooms, friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast.
Incredible noise through the night from near-by night bars and clubs (opening hours from 10pm till 5am!) Rooms are not cleaned properly (huge balls of dust under the bed), TV receives only one Latvian and 4 German channels.
-
Breakfast was a bit poor but they did get get up early to make ours before we ran the marathon. One & a half hours before normal breakfast.
-
Location is perfect, almost right in the center
No curtains, so at 4 am light in the room. Weekends lots of noise till 7 in the morning from bars next door. Coffee at breakfast bad, and even for extyra charged cappucino is really bad.

We stayed at the ambiance suite and it was quite big. I liked that you could close the door between bedroom and living area. I liked that staff waited until we were out to do housekeeping. It was clean.
The club/pub right across the road payed very loud music until 6am Sunday morning. Mercifully they are closed on Sunday evening but Monday we were woken by loud shouting etc from club goers leaving the premises at 2am. The staff at Aivanas seemed all to be new and hence not sure about services, helpful hints and so on. The breakfast was not bad but the coffee was really bad, orange juice ran out, bread was not filled up again etc. The channels on your TV were few and not in english. DVD's were not available even though there was a DVD player. The minibar did not stock what was on the minibar list provided (no wine or champagne or beer, only soft drinks and hard liquor). The minibar was not restocked during our stay. Though the room and bathroom was clean, the couch in the living room was very dirty and could do with a new cover.

1) A convenient location at Old Riga. 2) Personnel solved our problems as soon as possible. 3) Very comfortable and stylish restaurant. 4) Silent guests.
1) If you want to rent a car at Ainavas the best way to do it is to do it by yourself. I made the car reservation at Ainavas but (I don't want and I don't know why) instead of promised new Mazda 5 we got an old, dirty and very scratched vw Golf. 2) Dry bread on breakfast at the end of our stay. 3) There are several suspicious-looking bars/hostels on Peldu St. And as a result there were a lot of drunken/drugged young men near the Hotel at our weekend (especially at evening hours).
-
Great location, just a few minutes walk to the heart of old town. Hotel were nice, clean and intime.
Breakfast were quite modest compared to the price of room. Also our suites minibar were very poor, there were a long list of drinks and snacks but only few products were found from the minibar. No roomservice :(

Breakfast service needs a little improvement but still great overall experience!
-
breakfast was really good and the personnel is very nice
-
Best location, comfortable and stylish room (Luxury Suite), friendly staff.
There was a night club near the hotel.

It is a nice little hotel with modern facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful and the wifi is fast. It is just a 10-minutes walk from the railway / bus station, if you can find it with your map. The only problem was that there was some kind of suction work outside the hotel on the day we arrived so the water supply suspended for some time. The restaurant is converted from a cellar, which is great fun to eat there for the people from modern city.
